An Investigation of Database Use Experience by Public Library Reference Staff
About Me
I am currently designing classes for library patrons to teach research skills, assist with genealogy searches, and educate patrons about the Cincinnati Public Library’s holdings.
Most Recently Finished Project:
I just finished building a multi-case exhibit from scratch on Cincinnati's Union Terminal, featured on the 3rd floor of the Downtown/Main location for the Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library.
Inspiration:
I am regularly inspired by the great literary and research works of those around me and before me. I also take a lot of inspiration from the art and chaos in my communities.
Goal:
My goal is to empower library users to learn and build their own communities by using and expanding the common goods libraries offer.
I love research and exploring local history projects to engage my community.
I have also found a love for user empowerment and education.
Approach:
My approach to projects and my work in general is collaborative and research-heavy, using the resources at my disposal and exploring what already exists to build on.
Outside the Library:
When I’m not at the library, I am likely doing yoga, traveling, in the pottery studio, or exploring local music, museums, and art fairs around Cincinnati.
